Montelupo tells its own story through ceramics: art meets landscape in a unique urban space.
Opened in 2017, the Marco Bagnoli Atelier is a multi-functional space that the artist conceived as an all-around work of art. The atelier hosts an ever-changing temporary exhibition of his pieces that spans from 1972 to today, curated by Pier Luigi Tazzi.
The Pro Loco Montelupo Association organizes a series of events with guided tours focusing on the works it contains. Their mission is to enhance the beautiful structure located at Via della Quercia No. 9, in the Sammontana district of Montelupo, and make it part of the local artistic heritage. The volunteers of Pro Loco Montelupo will passionately introduce you to the world of the artist Marco Bagnoli and show you the entire Atelier, both indoor and outdoor: a journey to understand the history and the construction of this special space, but also the mission and the vision behind it.
The atelier is open for visits from April to September/October, when natural light makes the experience more enjoyable, both in the indoor and outdoor spaces.
Visitors are required to own the Pro Loco Membership Card to take part to the guided tours; they can also purchase it right before the visit, at a cost of 5,00 €
