The Tower and the Museum of the Tuscan Flask

Exploring the area

In the heart of Montelupo, the Tower tells centuries of history amidst the river landscape and cultural heritage.

The Tower is a district of Montelupo, named after a medieval construction around which the building developed over the centuries. The Tower of San Quirico was built in 1317 in a strategic area, opposite the Capraia castle. From 1587 to 1590, the nearby Ambrogiana villa was completely renovated on behalf of Ferdinando I, and the Tower became a sort of gateway to the estate. Inside, it houses the Museum.
