Ceramic Experience for Families \u2013 Visit and Workshop in Montelupo Fiorentino<\/strong><\/p>\n

An activity designed for adults and children to discover the ceramic tradition of Montelupo Fiorentino. Every Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, families can enjoy a unique experience that combines culture, craftsmanship, and taste, with a final snack included. <\/p>\n

The experience begins with a guided tour of the Museum of Ceramics, which houses a precious collection of majolica dating from the 1200s to the 1700s. The museum tells the story of Montelupo’s central role as the “Factory of Florence,” when the town used to supply the most important Florentine families and workshops in Tuscany with highly valuable artistic ceramic creations. Among the masterpieces on display you’ll find the famous Rosso di Montelupo<\/em>, a Renaissance artwork from 1509. <\/p>\n

After the tour, a short walk will lead you to the Museum’s Fornace, an ancient kiln where you will partecipate in a hands-on workshop, guided by master ceramists. The activity is customizable: you can choose between clay modeling or ceramic decoration on plates or cups. <\/p>\n

The experience ends with a snack, featuring typical Tuscan product, which will be served inside the museum.<\/p>\n

Cost<\/strong>: 65\u20ac for adults, 50\u20ac for children under 12.
Minimum participation<\/strong>: 4 people.

Ceramic Experience for Adults \u2013 Create Your Own Ceramic Masterpiece<\/strong><\/p>\n

An immersive experience in the heart of Montelupo Fiorentino, designed for those who want to explore the ancient art of ceramics and enjoy an authentic moment that brings creativity and tradition together.<\/p>\n

Every Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, you can create a unique piece by choosing between two activities, both guided by master artisans and with a final aperitivo included: wheel clay modeling or decorating a plate in the traditional Montelupo style. A chance to personally experience the beauty of “hands-on” creation and to make a special keepsake to take home with you.<\/p>\n

After the workshop, the experience continues with a visit to the Museum of Ceramics, just a short walk away from the school, where you will be able to admire a collection of majolica that recounts over five centuries of history, from the 1200s to the late 1700s. A journey into the ceramic tradition of Montelupo, which used to be known as the “Factory of Florence,” due to its reputation for crafting high-quality ceramic artworks for countless noble Florentine families, like the Medici and the Strozzi, as well as for apothecaries, pharmacies and hospitals across Tuscany.<\/p>\n

At the end of the morning, you will enjoy a Tuscan aperitivo in the Museum’s rooms, in an authentic and relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by the wonders of local craftsmanship.<\/p>\n
